    Change is the only constant, you may have heard. But the rate of change we now experience is like nothing we’ve ever felt before.

    Between incredibly fast technology developments, a global pandemic, and turbulent political environment, our lives - both at work and home - are in a constant state of flux.

    In this course, you’ll be introduced to our EPIC Change Communication Framework (™), a system of principles, processes, and tried and tested theories that will help you deliver change communication that works. It doesn’t matter the size or scope of the change, whether it’s for a large, multi-national corporation or a small non-profit. This framework can be adapted to suit your needs, and position you as a strategic change communication advisor.

    You'll also learn some of the top tips from behavioural science that you can use to supercharge your messaging and strategies, and help influence behaviours and opinions.

    Join in the Zoom calls for one hour a day, every day for five days. Each day we'll cover key elements of effective change communication.

    You'll receive a pack of templates that we will work through as the course progresses. These are fully customisable, so you can start using them in your organisation right away!

    Course Content

    Day 1

    After introductions, we'll delve into the background on change communication, including the five elements of change management. Then we'll get stuck into understanding people - how they respond to change, and how to tailor our communication so it resonates with our audiences.

    Day 2

    On day 2 we will uncover the three principles of change communication, and how we can use them as guidelines for our work. Then we'll work through the first phase of the change comms process, Evaluate, where you'll learn how to get the information you need to make sure your comms are fit for purpose.

    Day 3

    Day three is where we'll take a journey through the change comms strategy and plan, step by step. You'll learn how to craft outcomes that drive your strategies and tactics. Then we'll turn our minds to drafting key messages, and how to create a compelling case for why that will help drive change, and reduce resistance.

    Day 4

    This module will tackle the implementation phase of change communication, the role of leaders, and how we can prepare them to communicate effectively with their teams. Then we'll uncover the 10Cs of Change Communication Tactics, where you'll learn advanced techniques - backed by behavioural science - to drive change.

    Day 5

    On our final day, we'll investigate the 'check and correct' cycle of change communication. You'll learn how to effectively measure the success of your change comms work, and how to use that to demonstrate your value to the C-suite. Finally, we'll have time for Q&A.

    Mel Loy

    Hi I'm Mel, owner of Hey Mel! Communication & Training. We're a small communication with big energy, specialising in change, internal, and crisis communication.

    This course is created based on my 20-plus years of experience in all things corporate communication, and our work with clients tackling change of all types, in organisations of all sizes.

    Can you customise a training program for the needs of my team?

    What is your rescheduling / cancellation policy?

    We’re so confident that you’ll love and find value in this course that we offer a two-day money-back guarantee. This gives you ample time to participate in the program and work through the two modules.

    If, after two days of participating, you don’t feel the course is right for you, simply reach out. Show us you’ve put in the work, and you’ll be eligible for a full refund.


    In order to qualify for a refund you must submit proof that you did the work in the course and it did not work for you. In the event that you decide your purchase was not the right decision, contact us at hello@heymelcomms.com.au and let us know you’d like a refund within 24 hours after the second day.


    You must submit a statement telling us why this course was not a good fit for you and your business needs. What did you expect that you did not get once inside the program?


    We will NOT provide refunds for any request that comes more than 24 hours after the second day’s session.


    After the Refund Period, all payments are non-refundable and you are responsible for full payment of the fees for the program regardless of whether you complete the program.


    If you are no longer able to participate in the course because of a scheduling clash, the fee is not refundable but we can enrol you in the next available course, or you can use the funds towards one of our other training programs. You must, however, give us at least 48 hours’ notice of your intention to withdraw prior to the course beginning. Otherwise, your fees will be forfeited.


    What if I can't make every session?

    While being able to participate live is our preference (all our students say it helps with accountability and the LOVE the discussion), we know sometimes that just isn’t possible.

    All sessions will be recorded and made available for viewing on the online learning platform, for up to 12 months after your course.

    If you can’t make at least 4 days, consider enrolling in one of our other sessions throughout the year.
